Sevenoaks: Godden Green Clinic

Godden Green Clinic, Sevenoaks
Addiction Treatment Programme

About us:

We are able to offer a full range of treatments for all addictions and we accept patients from the age of 16 years. Our Young Persons Unit is able to admit from 12 years of age. Our aim is to provide patients with the necessary skills and resources to enable you to maintain abstinence from your addiction and achieve a sense of personal fulfilment and enhanced quality of life.

The programme is structured to provide a safe and supportive environment for the patient, where they can look at their situation and gain awareness/insight into the recovery process.

Along the way we hope to encourage the development of hope, trust, acceptance and change. This is conducted in an environment where confidentiality is of the utmost importance. The programme is facilitated by a team of trained professional therapists and counsellors.

What does treatment involve?

Treatment at Godden Green Clinic is based on the philosophy that addiction is a progressive illness. We recognise that family are also affected by the person who has an addiction and our programme is specially designed to include the family in the therapeutic process.

We achieve this by offering Family Sessions where the patient and members of their family meet with a therapist to look at issues relevant to that patient\’s recovery. These sessions are highly encouraged but will only take place with the permission of the patient.

There is also a Family Support Group. In meeting and sharing with members of other families in a safe and confidential setting, alternative healthier coping skills can be discovered which help to ease adjustment to the changes involved in living with a person recovering from an addiction.

In order to provide the tools for patients to be abstinent from mood altering substances, we at Godden Green work with an integrative model of therapy. The programme includes detoxification if needed, group therapy, individual key working, lectures, audio visual aides, written assignments and family involvement.
How long does it last and how much does it cost?

Our programme is available via inpatient, daycare or outpatient and our costs vary accordingly.

Aftercare

Treatment does not end after discharge from Godden Green Clinic. We facilitate a range of services including an aftercare group. Following an inpatient stay, our aftercare is designed to smooth the transition from treatment to everyday life.

It is also a monitored process of change and an active counselling intervention. Aftercare is free for twelve months to all ex-patients of the programme.

Our Addiction Treatment Programme is also available to day patients and outpatients.
